Finally google has dabbled into shopping search as well!

What’s Google Product Search?

Google Product Search is an extension of Google dedicated to helping shoppers find products quickly and easily on the web. Advantages of Product Search for sellers include:

  • More users. Millions of people come to Google each day, and many are actively looking for the consumer or business products you’re selling.
  • No cost. Unlike other online shopping sites, listing your products on Product Search costs nothing. There’s no spending account to set up and maintain, and no cost-per-click.
  • Control of your product information. Google Base lets you maintain the accuracy and freshness of your product information, so your customers find the relevant, current items they’re looking for.

So, not contended with just just translating online search and other ad based services into moolah, Google has gone one step further and maybe pretty soon we might see something like amazon or ebay offering from google. With scholar, it already has a wide array of book listings with it. Google Base is a way of putting up your product for listing in google product search result. And looking up at

maybe it wont be all that a bad idea to create something and then sell it off.. 😉 Of course it has to be either a novel idea or bringing to reality something that everyone dreams of or may want to use and useful. (am still enticed about time travelling though:)
